Frances Connie Mae Keyes, known to many as Connie, passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 65 in Warren, Ohio but she resided in Virginia. She was born on September 14, 1958, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to the late Betty Cox and Robert Cox. Connie will be remembered for her unconditional love and willingness to help others without judgment. She led a simple life but touched the hearts of many.
Connie is survived by her children son Cody and daughter in law Heather(Brewer) Douglas, son Robert Douglas III, daughter Tina(Douglas) and son in law Anthony Idleman, son Johnny Keyes, as well as her grandchildren Hailey, Gavin, Kloe, Austin, Chazic, Karyzma, Azyriella, and Eyzlnn. She also took on the role of a mother and grandmother to her sister Rosie's children and grandchildren Cindy, Freddie, Jeannie, Marie, Danny, Kaitlyn, and Ali. Connie was preceded in death by her mother Betty (Russell) Cox, sister Rosie (Cox) Keyes, brother Bobbie Cox, great nephew Morgan Phillips, and father Robert Cox.
In her free time, Connie enjoyed cooking, watching HGTV, Food Network, and true crime shows. She had a fondness for the movies "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "Steel Magnolias." Memorial services to honor Connie's life will be held at a later date. The Beacon Funeral and Cremation in Warren, Ohio, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Connie Mae Keyes will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
